Miss MacKenzie Anne Norman

First of all, I want to thank anyone that has helped Jarrod and I through the past couple of months.  All of your love and support has been felt and we are truly grateful. My family has started a project for the NICU at University Hospital where we are making outfits small enough to fit the teeny tiny babies.  We feel that it is extremely important that they have something to wear as well as normal sized babies.  So, if you have it in your heart to help, this is what we are using and needing:  fabric that could be unisex, girl or boy colors and ribbon to go on the outfit.  Also any color yarn would be appreciated as my mom is making a different kind of outfit that comes with a hat, booties, outfit and potentially a blanket.  Also, I (Shawna) will be making blankets that are cotton on one side and flannel on the other, so any fabric for that would be helpful.  The hospital has recommended that no fleece be used because it does not absorb the babies heat.

In order to make these blankets, I would need a sewing machine, which I do not have.  So any donations towards the purchase of an inexpensive one would be greatly appreciate.

These are all in memory of MacKenzie and we just want to let other families have an opportunity for their child to have something to wear that fits.  If you have any questions, feel free to email me at shawna.norman@gmail.com
Thank you~

So, I have been asked by a few people about donations. Here goes.............
I want to start by saying that we are not, in any way, shape or form, asking for donations. We were not prepared for this situation, because we thought we had several more months to get ready.  There are some people out there who have the desire to help and we would greatly appreciate all the help that people are willing to give.   All donations made will either go to baby items needed or go to commuting expenses as we live roughly 70 miles from the hospital Mack is in, and plan on spending as much time down here as possible. I have to return to work on Sunday and Shawna is going to be discharged soon, so we will be traveling back and forth. With gas prices the way they are, it will be a very costly endeavor, but of course worth it. So I will provide a mailing address, and like I said previously we are just providing information for those of you who are lead to, or have a desire to help in our situation. We appreciate all the thoughts and prayers that have been given on account of Mack.
